FLOCK TOGETHER: OUTSIDERS (GAIA)

Founded by Ollie Olanipekun and Nadeem Perera in 2020, Flock Together is the UK's first birdwatching collective for people of colour. Ollie and Nadeem share a love of nature - it is their outlet when faced with neglect and prejudice, a place for reflection and discovery, and the foundation of their friendship. Part memoir, part manifesto, this book explores the key pillars of Flock’s mission: how nature benefits us and how we can pay back; the importance of building communities and creative mentorship; systemic mental health issues and challenging preconceptions.
