Little People, Big Dreams Edition

The Little People, Big Dreams books are quite possibly the most inspiring children’s reads of iconic lives. Beautifully illustrated biographies aimed at nurturing big dreams, we love this range here at Bookspeed.

Each biography is based on outstanding people from a multitude of industries – we’re talking from designers to politicians, musicians to activists. Every single story is worthwhile to tell. After all, learning their journeys from the beginning couldn’t be a better starting block for children to grow up being bold, brave and the driving force behind incredible things and change.

As we are in the summer holidays, we wanted to inspire children to get reading and what better way to kickstart our weekly blog on summer inspiration than this book series? Indeed, our senior key account managers at Bookspeed are huge fans of the Little People, Big Dreams series:

‘We like to think the success of the series relies on the fact that children love to read real stories about other children achieving great things. It gives them the strength and the courage to believe in themselves and dream BIG. As The Independent once said: “What a cool way to drift off to sleep.”’

We had such a hard time choosing just 6 books to feature and we have so many more in this series to shop. Click the link at the bottom of this blog to take you straight there!

LITTLE PEOPLE BIG DREAMS: DAVID ATTENBOROUGH

Little David grew up in Leicester on the campus of a university, where his father was a professor. As a child, he spent hours in the science library, collating his own specimens and creating a mini animal museum. When he was old enough to go to university, he studied science and zoology - but what he wanted most of all was to be close to the animals he was studying. So, he started working in television, visiting animals in their natural habitats, and telling the world their untold stories.
